Leafy shoulders and a twisting band climb toward the pear. Claws hold the pear, one at the point, above a band whose two strands cross and twist like a vine. On the shoulders, small round lab-grown diamonds sit among leaf shapes in the metal, a light botanical touch that stops short of busy. Beyond those accents the band is plain polished metal. The center goes up to 1.75 carats, kept in proportion with the slim band. It suits someone drawn to nature motifs who still wants the pear to lead.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 1.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Is the vine detail delicate for daily wear?
The leaves are part of the solid band rather than separate pieces, and the accent diamonds are small and held close to the metal. The twisted shank itself is plain polished gold or platinum, so there is no pavé along it to maintain. As with any claw-set center, take the ring off for heavy work and have the claws checked once a year.
Why is the largest center option 1.75 carats?
The band here is slim, and a very large pear on a fine twisted shank tends to look top-heavy and puts more strain on the head. Holding the center at 1.75 carats keeps the vine detail visible and the ring balanced on the finger. If you want a larger pear, choose a setting with a heavier shank.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
