Details
Horizontal center, arched shoulders, and pavé sweeping up to meet it. The emerald-cut center lies east-west, long sides running across the finger, held by four claws on its cut corners. Cathedral shoulders arch up from the band to support the head, and a row of pavé lab-grown diamonds follows the shank on each side. That pairing gives the horizontal stone a lifted, framed look from the side. It reads more polished than a plain east-west solitaire. Suited to someone who likes the sideways orientation but wants sparkle along the band too.
Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 4.00 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 4 to 9; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More emerald-cut settings are in our Emerald Cut Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
Does an east-west stone catch on things more?
The stone sits wider across the finger, so its sides are a little more exposed to doorframes and bag straps than in a north-south setting. The four claws cover the cut corners, which are the vulnerable points of an emerald cut. The cathedral shoulders also add support under the head.
Will a wedding band fit next to it?
Cathedral shoulders lift the head above the band line, which generally leaves room beneath for a wedding band to tuck in. A slim plain band or a thin pavé band suits this setting best. Because the center is horizontal, a straight band will sit parallel to the long edge of the stone, which many people find especially neat.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
