Emerald-Cut Lab-Grown Diamond Petite Solitaire Engagement Ring

$1,519.00
Four claws, a slim polished shank, and very little else. This is the barest way to wear an emerald cut. Four rounded claws hold the lab-grown diamond center by its cut corners, and an open basket lets light reach the long step facets from below. Tiny lab-grown diamonds peek from the sides of the gallery, visible mostly in profile. The shank is slim and plain. Because it is so fine, we offer this style up to 1.85 ct. A larger emerald cut would sit top-heavy on a band this narrow. It suits a small hand, a minimalist eye, or anyone planning to stack bands later.

Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 1.85 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.

Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 10; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More emerald-cut settings are in our Emerald Cut Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask

Your Questions

Why does this style stop at 1.85 carats?

The shank is deliberately fine, and an emerald cut is a long stone. A larger center would overhang the band and tip on the finger, which looks top-heavy and puts extra leverage on the claws. We cap it at 1.85 ct for that reason. If you want a bigger center, the Hidden-Halo or Bezel-Set solitaires take larger stones comfortably.

Will a wedding band sit nicely beside it?

The plain, narrow shank gives a wedding band a simple neighbor with no pavé or shoulders to work around, which makes it one of the easier settings to pair. The head rises on its own basket above the band line. If you want the two to sit tightly together along their full length, ask us and we can suggest a band to match.

What quality is the center diamond?

Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.

Can I have a natural diamond instead?

This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.

How long does it take to make?

Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
