French-set pavé on a fine shank, kept light on purpose. Small lab-grown diamonds line the slim shank in a French setting, where little scalloped cuts in the metal show more of each stone and keep the band airy. Four claws hold the emerald-cut center over its cut corners. The pavé adds movement without adding bulk, so the long, clean table of the step cut stays the main event. Because the shank is fine, this style tops out at 1.85 ct. It suits a delicate hand or anyone who wants sparkle that stays quiet.
Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 1.85 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. What is French-set pavé?
In a French setting, each small diamond is held by tiny prongs, and the metal between them is cut away in scallops along the sides. More of every stone is exposed to light, and the band looks lighter than in a bead or channel setting. It is a delicate look that pairs well with the long, open facets of an emerald cut.
Can I choose a larger center than 1.85 carats?
Not on this setting. The shank is intentionally fine, and a bigger emerald cut would overhang it and sit top-heavy. For a center above 1.85 ct with pavé on the band, the Cathedral Pavé Solitaire or the Split-Shank Pavé Solitaire are built to carry larger stones up to 4.00 ct.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
