The metal rim follows every cut corner of the stone. A thin bezel wraps the entire emerald-cut outline, its eight edges tracing the stone exactly, cut corners included. Those corners are the most chip-prone part of a step cut, and here they are fully enclosed. The slim plain shank rises into a cathedral under the head, and a few small lab-grown diamonds peek from the gallery sides. With no claws to catch on sweaters or gloves, this is the low-fuss choice for hands that work hard. It suits a modern, architectural taste.
Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 4.00 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Does a bezel make the diamond look smaller?
The rim covers only the outer edge of the stone, so the open table and long step facets stay fully visible. The metal border frames the outline and gives it a crisp edge, which many people like with an emerald cut. On the finger, the stone reads as the same size; it simply has a defined line around it instead of four claw tips.
Is a bezel setting good for everyday wear?
It is the most protective way to set an emerald cut. Metal surrounds the whole girdle, including the four cut corners, so there are no prong tips to snag on fabric or bend out of shape. If you garden, lift weights, or work with your hands, a bezel asks less of you than any prong setting in this collection.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
