Details
The halo keeps its corners cut, just like the stone inside it. A halo of small lab-grown diamonds surrounds the emerald-cut center and follows its octagonal outline, cut corners included, rather than rounding them off. That matters: a rounded halo would blur the step cut's shape. Four claws hold the center, and pavé continues from the halo down each side of the shank. The halo frames the stone and makes the whole head look larger on the hand. Choose it if you want maximum sparkle while keeping the emerald cut's crisp geometry.
Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 4.00 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 5 to 9; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More emerald-cut settings are in our Emerald Cut Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
Does a halo make the center look bigger?
Yes. The ring of small diamonds extends the bright area around the center, so the head reads larger than the stone alone. Because this halo keeps the cut corners, the outline still looks like an emerald cut, just with a wider frame. Many people choose a halo to get more presence from a moderate carat weight.
How much upkeep do halo and pavé need?
Small set diamonds collect lotion and soap faster than plain metal, so a quick soak in warm water with mild dish soap and a soft brush every week or two keeps them bright. Have the setting checked periodically by a jeweler, as you would with any pavé ring, to confirm the tiny prongs are tight.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
