Tiny star-set diamonds sit flush in an otherwise quiet band. V-caps at both tips shield the points, while four round claws along the sides hold the marquise steady. The band carries a scatter of small lab-grown diamonds, each set flush into the metal inside an engraved star, so nothing rises above the surface. The head itself has no accents, which keeps the center crisp and uncluttered. With centers from 0.70 to 2.55 ct, it can be a delicate daily ring or a bold one.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 2.55 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. What does star-set mean on this band?
Each small lab-grown diamond is set down into the band so its top sits level with the metal. Fine lines engraved outward from the stone form a star shape around it. The result is a light scatter of sparkle across the shank, more like a pattern than a row of pavé, and it keeps the band smooth to the touch.
Will the flush band accents snag on clothing?
Very unlikely. Because the star-set diamonds sit level with the surface of the band, there are no raised claws or beads on the shank to catch knitwear or hair. The only raised metal is at the head, where the V-caps cover both points of the marquise and four claws hold its sides, the usual arrangement for keeping this shape secure.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
