V-caps at both points, and a halo you only see sideways. Two metal V-caps cover the points of the marquise, the parts of this shape most exposed to knocks. Below the stone, a hidden halo of lab-grown diamonds sits in the gallery. From above, the face stays clean. Turn your hand and that ring of sparkle shows along the side. The band is knife-slim and plain, which lets a 1.00 or 1.60 ct center look generous. A refined choice for someone who wants pavé detail without a busy top view.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 1.60 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. How are the marquise tips protected on this ring?
Each point sits inside a metal V-cap, a small fitted guard that covers the tip instead of leaving it on a single claw. The points are the thinnest part of a marquise and the most likely to take a knock, so covering both of them matters more on this shape than on a round or oval. The caps are slim, so they barely change the outline of the stone.
Will the hidden halo show when I look down?
Mostly not. From directly above you see the marquise, its two V-caps and the slim band. The lab-grown diamonds of the hidden halo sit underneath the edge of the stone, so they come into view from the side and at an angle, as the hand moves. It gives a quiet extra flash for the wearer without turning the face of the ring into a halo design.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
