Smooth bezel on top, a band of pavé around the cup. A polished bezel surrounds the pear completely, so the point is enclosed in metal and nothing sticks out to snag. Below the rim, a row of small lab-grown diamonds wraps the outside of the bezel cup as a hidden halo, catching light when the ring is seen from the side. The band itself is plain and rises gently toward the head. You get the security of a bezel with more sparkle than a bare one.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Can you see the hidden halo when looking down?
Only a hint of it. From directly above, the bezel's polished rim frames the pear and the small diamonds sit just below and outside it, so they show as a thin glint at the edge. Tilt the ring or look at it from the side and the full row of lab-grown diamonds around the cup comes into view.
Is a bezel a good choice for an active lifestyle?
It is one of the most protective options for a pear. The continuous metal wall covers the point, the edge most likely to chip, and there are no claws to catch on clothing. The small diamonds in the hidden halo are the more delicate part of the ring, so a gentle clean and the occasional check by a jeweler keep them secure.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
