Full bezel above, a band lined with small diamonds below. The pear sits in a full bezel, a smooth wall of metal that encloses the point and the rounded end alike. Beneath it, open curved metalwork in the gallery keeps the setting from looking solid. Small lab-grown diamonds run down the band on both sides of the head, so the sparkle comes from the shank while the center stays clean and framed. A practical pear that still looks dressed up.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Why choose a bezel with a pavé band?
It splits the jobs. The bezel protects the pear, especially its point, with no claws to snag, while the pavé band adds the sparkle a plain bezel solitaire lacks. The ring looks finished on its own and pairs well with a slim pavé or plain wedding band. If you prefer a quieter look, the plain-band bezel solitaire is the alternative.
How should I clean the pavé band?
Soak the ring in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, then brush gently around the small diamonds with a soft toothbrush and rinse. The bezel itself wipes clean easily, since there are no claws to trap residue. Avoid harsh chemicals, and skip ultrasonic cleaners unless a jeweler has checked the pavé first.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
