Details
The shank curves around a fully bezel-set square. A full bezel wraps the square in a continuous rim of metal, so all four corners are covered. The band does not meet the head straight on. Instead it sweeps past on one side and around on the other in a bypass curve. Small lab-grown diamonds line that curve and continue in a row along the base of the bezel, where they show from the side. A good choice for an active hand that still wants movement in the design.
Choose a princess center from 0.75 to 2.00 carats. Each center is a lab-grown diamond selected to a D to F color, VS2-or-better specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.95 to 1.10 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. How well does the bezel protect a princess cut?
Very well. A princess cut is most vulnerable at its four sharp corners, and here every corner sits inside the metal rim instead of under a claw. There are no prongs to catch on sweaters or hair either. The trade-off is that the rim covers a thin outline of the stone, though the open top still shows the full face.
Will a straight wedding band sit against this ring?
The bypass curve means a straight band will meet it at an angle, leaving a small gap where the shank swings around the head. Plenty of people like that look. If you prefer two rings that touch all the way along, a curved or contoured band that follows the sweep is the better match, so try both before deciding.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every princess center is a lab-grown diamond selected to a D to F color, VS2-or-better specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
