A bypass shank swirls around a fully bezel-set center. The bezel encloses the marquise from tip to tip while the shank sweeps around it in a bypass curve, each side meeting the head at the opposite end. A ribbon of pavé-set lab-grown diamonds follows that curve, and more small diamonds line the underside of the bezel. With no claws and both points covered, it is among the more protective ways to set this shape. Built for someone who wants movement and daily ease.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 2.55 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. What is a bypass setting?
In a bypass ring the two sides of the shank do not meet the head straight on. Instead they curve past it in opposite directions, so the band seems to wrap around the stone. Here the swirl gives the marquise a sense of motion, and the line of lab-grown pavé along the curve emphasizes that sweep as the hand moves.
Is a bezel bypass good for everyday wear?
It is a sensible choice. The bezel is a continuous rim, so both tips of the marquise are fully enclosed and there are no claws to snag on fabric or hair. The pavé sits along the band and beneath the bezel, below the top of the stone. For a shape with two vulnerable points, that combination is easy to live with.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
