Every clipped corner sits inside one smooth bezel. A full bezel follows the emerald cut's outline, clipped corners included, so the stone is enclosed by a continuous rim of metal. The shank sweeps around the head in a bypass curve rather than meeting it straight on, and small lab-grown diamonds line both arms of that curve. Another row of tiny diamonds sits just below the bezel, visible from the side. It suits a busy hand, and anyone who likes a step cut but wants a softer, moving line around it.
Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 4.00 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Why choose a bezel for an emerald cut?
Emerald cuts have open, flat facets and clipped corners, and the corners are where they are most exposed. A full bezel covers every edge with metal, so there are no claws to snag and nothing left bare. The clean rim also suits the step cut's architectural look, framing the long facets like a window.
How does the bypass band change the look on the hand?
Instead of two straight shoulders, the band swings around the head from opposite sides, which adds movement and draws the eye across the finger. The pavé follows the curve, so the sparkle travels in a sweep rather than a straight line. With a wedding band, expect a small gap where the curve passes the head unless you choose a contoured band.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
