Details
Near the head, the band divides into two rails. On each side, the shank splits as it approaches the center, each rail lined with pavé lab-grown diamonds. The two rails open a small window of space beside the head, which makes the setting look airy and wider at the top. Below the split, the pavé continues for a short stretch before the band turns plain. Four claws hold the emerald-cut center by its corners. It suits someone who wants a solitaire with more architecture and movement than a single straight band.
Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 4.00 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 4 to 9; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More emerald-cut settings are in our Emerald Cut Engagement Rings collection.

Your Questions
What does a split shank do for the look?
Splitting the band near the head widens the ring's top without adding much metal. The gap between the rails lets light through and gives the center a flared base, which balances a long emerald cut nicely. From above, the pavé rails lead the eye straight to the stone.
Will a straight wedding band sit flush with it?
The split rails flare out near the head, so a straight band will sit beside it with a small space at the top. Some people like that gap; others prefer a contoured or slightly curved band that follows the flare. We are happy to suggest a pairing once you know the center size and metal.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
