Cathedral arches lift the center above a pavé shank. Metal arches rise from the shank to meet the head, the cathedral shape that gives this ring its height and a graceful side profile. A single row of pavé-set lab-grown diamonds runs along the top of the band toward the head. The marquise sits in claws, one at each point, with the arches bracing the setting from below. A polished, classic option for someone who wants sparkle carried down the band.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 1.60 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. What does a cathedral setting change?
In a cathedral design the shank rises up to the head in two arches, a little like the curve of a vaulted ceiling. It gives the ring a taller, more sculpted profile from the side and supports the head from below. With a marquise, those rising lines lead the eye up into the stone, which suits the shape's long, directional outline.
How does the carat choice change the look?
This style comes with a 0.70, 1.00 or 1.60 ct center. At 0.70 ct the pavé band plays a bigger part in the overall sparkle and the ring reads delicate. At 1.00 ct the balance is even. At 1.60 ct the marquise clearly leads, and the cathedral arches give that larger stone a strong, lifted presentation.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
