Details
Milgrain edges both the halo and the slim band. Claws at each point hold the marquise inside a halo of round lab-grown diamonds that follows the stone out to both tips. A fine line of milgrain beads borders the halo, and the same beaded detail runs along the edges of a slim polished band, tying the head and shank together. The halo makes the center read larger while keeping its pointed silhouette. It suits someone who wants a vintage look with plenty of sparkle up top and a quiet band below.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 1.60 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Does the halo protect the marquise points?
It helps. A claw sits at each point, and the halo surrounds the center, so the tips are not the outermost edge of the ring. That is not the same as a bezel covering them in metal, so take the ring off for gym sessions and heavy work, and have the claws checked once a year.
Is the band set with diamonds?
The diamonds on this ring are concentrated in the halo. The band itself is polished metal edged with milgrain beads, which carries the vintage detail down from the head without adding more stones to maintain. That keeps the shank simple and comfortable, so the beaded halo stays the focus.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
