Two pavé strands wrap around each other like a climbing vine. The band is made of two strands that twist across each other from the shoulders down. Pavé lab-grown diamonds line the strands on the top of the ring, so light moves along the twist as the hand turns. Four claws hold the emerald-cut center at its corners, and its straight, orderly facets make a calm counterpoint to the curving band below. That tension is the appeal. It suits a romantic taste that still likes clean lines at the center.
Choose a emerald-cut center from 0.65 to 4.00 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.05 to 1.28 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Does a twisted band catch on things?
The pavé is set into the surface of the strands, and the twist itself is smooth, so it wears much like any pavé band. As with all pavé, avoid hard knocks and harsh chemicals, and have a jeweler check the small stones now and then. The center's corners are covered by claws for protection.
What wedding band suits a twisted vine?
A thin plain band is the easiest partner, as it lets the twist stay the focus. Some people pick a matching twisted band so the two interlock visually. Because the vine curves, a straight band will sit beside it with small gaps where the strands cross; that is normal and part of the look.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every emerald-cut center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
