Details
Under the pear, a beaded frame adds antique texture. Claws hold the pear around its curve, with one placed at the point. Just beneath the stone, a frame finished in milgrain beads follows the pear's outline, giving the head a vintage edge that is all metal and no extra diamonds. A single row of petite lab-grown diamonds runs down both shoulders of a fine band. The center is offered up to 1.75 carats, sized to suit the slim shank. Good for someone who wants antique character in a light, wearable ring.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 1.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 11; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More pear settings are in our Pear Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
Is the milgrain frame visible from the top?
Yes, as a fine beaded border around the base of the stone. It is narrower than a diamond halo and sits slightly below the center, so from above you see the pear first and the texture second. From the side the frame shows more fully, along with the claws and the row of small diamonds on the band.
How is the point of the pear protected?
One claw sits at the point, the thinnest part of any pear shape, and the remaining claws grip the rounded body. The milgrain frame sits under the stone and does not cover the tip, so the claw does that work. Taking the ring off for heavy lifting or gardening, and having the claws checked yearly, keeps it secure.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
