Details
The band sweeps past the stone in one unbroken curve. Each arm of the band bends around the head and runs past the other, so the marquise sits on a slight diagonal inside a soft S of metal. Pavé lab-grown diamonds trace the leading edge of both arms, then give way to a polished band at the back. Four round claws hold the sides of the stone, and a squared metal cap guards each of its two points. The diagonal line flatters a long finger and gives a classic shape some movement.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 1.60 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 10; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More marquise settings are in our Marquise Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
Will a straight wedding band sit flush with a bypass?
Not along its whole length. The arms swing out around the head, so a straight band leaves a small gap at the center while touching toward the back. Many people like the look of that space. If you want the two to meet closely, a curved or contoured band that follows the sweep is the better partner, and we can suggest one for your center size.
How are the two marquise points protected?
Each point sits under a squared metal cap, so neither tip rests on a single thin claw. Four round claws along the sides keep the stone level in the setting. The points are the most exposed part of any marquise, so it is still wise to take the ring off for heavy work or sport and to have the claws checked once a year.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
