Split claws and V-caps grip a center that can go large. V-caps cover both points of the marquise, and split claws, each prong divided in two, hold its sides. Beneath the stone sits a hidden halo of lab-grown diamonds, and French pavé runs down the shank, with small cut-outs in the metal that let each stone show more of itself. With centers up to 2.55 ct, this is the setting for a larger marquise that still needs strong tip protection.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 2.55 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. What are split claws?
Picture a single prong divided into two slim tips at the top: that is a split claw. Each one covers less of the stone than a broad claw would while still gripping firmly, and the pair adds a fine, detailed look to the head. On this ring they hold the sides of the marquise while V-caps take care of the two points.
Why choose this setting for a larger carat?
Larger marquise stones have longer, more exposed points, so tip protection matters more as the carat goes up. Here both tips sit under V-caps, the sides are held by split claws, and the hidden halo adds sparkle without widening the top view. Center options reach 2.10 and 2.55 ct, making it a strong pick for a statement stone.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
