Channel-set squares run down a cathedral band to the pear. Claws hold the pear, including one placed directly at the point. Cathedral shoulders rise from the band to support the head, and down each one a row of square lab-grown diamonds sits in a channel, held between smooth metal walls with no prongs in between. That straight line of squares contrasts with the curves of the pear and gives the ring a tailored look. Nothing on the band catches on fabric. It suits someone who wants an orderly line of sparkle beneath a classic solitaire.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Why square accents with a pear center?
The contrast is the idea. A pear is all curves and one point, and a straight row of square diamonds gives the band a clean, structured line beneath it. The squares sit in a channel, so they read as one continuous strip rather than separate sparkles. The result feels tailored rather than romantic, which suits people who find pavé too busy.
Is a channel-set band good for everyday wear?
Yes. The accent diamonds are held by metal walls on either side rather than by small prongs, so the surface is smooth and there is little to catch or bend. Dirt can collect in the channel over time; a soak in warm soapy water and a soft brush clears it. A yearly check by a jeweler covers the center claws.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
